Accuracy to reveal the bigger picture
Biograph Vision is specifically designed to break through the limits of spatial and temporal resolution. With 3.2-mm crystals, Biograph Vision delivers high spatial resolution to reduce the impact of partial volume effect (PVE). Along with higher spatial resolution, a faster time of-flight also makes it easier to see small lesions2. This helps you quantify more accurately and more confidently understand disease progression.
Performance to maximize efficiency
Biograph Vision can help you optimize your clinical operations with quality images and efficient workflow. With the market’s highest effective sensitivity at 100 cps/kBq3 and the fastest time-of flight in the industry4 Biograph Vision can not only reduce scan time and injected dose to boost productivity, it can also improve image quality. Combined with FlowMotion, it is designed to reduce unnecessary exposure to CT radiation, provide greater patient comfort, and decrease examination times.2
Reproducibility to understand disease progression
Biograph Vision can help reduce unwarranted variations to maximize patient care. Its zero-differential-deflection patient bed provides perfect registration between the CT and PET fields of view, ensuring accurate attenuation correction for more precise quantification. QualityGuard5 automates daily and weekly quality control without a radioactive source to help produce consistent and accurate results. FlowMotion Multiparametric PET Suite makes it easier and faster to perform parametric imaging in daily clinical routine. It is completely automated and integrated into the PET/CT workflow for more reproducible images.

Proprietary LSO scintillator
For faster time-of-flight and better image quality
Siemens is the only PET manufacturer that owns the entire manufacturing process of the detector. It allows us to closely control the process quality and gives the flexibility to explore different detector designs.
. Grown, cut, and individually selected in-house
. Self-manufactured to enable precise specifications and complete detector redesign
. Higher light output and faster scintillation1, enabling faster time-of-flight and better image quality
3.2mm crystals
For improved, more precise imaging
Smaller crystal elements and block size improve small-lesion detectability by delivering better volumetric resolution. Biograph Vision’s 3.2 mm crystals allow you to see smaller lesions to help you confidently stage, risk-stratify, and develop appropriate treatment strategies sooner.
. Small crystal elements improve signal-to-noise ratio and quantitative accuracy
. 60% better volumetric resolution2
Clinical Images: Neurology
Excellent delineation of functioning cortex and sharp contrast between cortex and white matter. Additionally there is sharp basal ganglial edge definition, especially the sharp margins and distinct separation of the head of caudate nucleus and putamen.3
Clinical Images: Cardiology
High image quality with sharp definition of left ventricular margins with low noise on a 700 MBq (18.9 mCi) 82Rb for both stress and rest.3
Clinical Images: Oncology
The ankle and knee joints are clearly delineated, and the bones of the mid foot can be visualized as well. Papillary musculature and excellent definition of the aortic wall and cardiac chambers can also be seen.
With Biograph Vision precise localization of PET activity can be achieved, which can possibly affect patient management. 4
The first PET/CT with 100% coverage
For optimized performance
Time-of-flight performance depends on collecting light from all photons in the scintillation. Biograph Vision is designed so SiPMs cover the entire LSO-array area, allowing all light from the scintillation to be detected. This leads to 100% coverage5 and enables fast temporal resolution.
. Provides 214 ps (picosecond) temporal resolution5for the fastest2 time‐of‐flight and highest effective sensitivity2
. 9x higher effective sensitivity6for faster scans and lower dose
Better time-of-flight reduces noise
Less noise means greater image clarity, making small lesions easier to find.

Optiso UDR detector
Revolutionizing precision in PET/CT
At Siemens Healthineers, we are determined to do more than just continue the momentum of improving technology in increments. We’re inspired to make breakthrough improvements that would revolutionize PET/CT. The result? Transcending digital with the Optiso Ultra Dynamic Range (UDR) detector.
. Optiso UDR detector technology reveals a new world of precision – to help you detect small lesions and devise accurate treatment strategies
What’s in a detector?
What is UDR?
The new Optiso Ultra Dynamic Range (UDR) detector uses multiple technologies to provide optimal performance in a wide range of count rates. Fast time-of-flight and high effective sensitivity provide excellent performance in low and medium activity ranges such a 90Y, 18F and 68Ga applications.
A small block detector with low dead time makes it suitable to operate in the high-activity concentrations found in studies with very short-lived tracers, such as 82Rb and 15O.7
